Application must be made IN PERSON for the Baltimore area school, Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. We are located at 1201 66th St., Baltimore, MD 21237  Official photo ID must be provided.  A math test, as well as a physical & drug screening will be required after your initial application.  A 76% or higher score must be obtained on our math test (scheduled and given at a later date) to have your application processed by the Joint Apprenticeship Committee. It is important that you study the "sample math test" prior to your appointment to sit for the actual test. For help with the math test go to www.math.com or you can obtain a personal tutor.

No applicant shall be rejected because of race, creed, color, sex or national origin.​

APPLICATION DEADLINE FOR 2017 CLASS IS FEBRUARY 28TH!!

There is a non-refundable processing fee of $75.00 due at the time of application. The fee is payable by money order or major credit card only. NO cash or personal checks will be accepted.

Costs involved for training:
If selected for training, you will receive an full Apprentice Scholarship for your training. 
You will, however, be responsible to pay for your books. These materials are approximately $440 for the first year and about $350 on average for the next four years. You will also be required to pay union dues, $29.00 per month, once you have been placed on the job site for one of our participating contractors.

It will take 5 years to complete this program.

Class attendance requirements:
Two, which are held on Mondays and Wednesdays, or Tuesdays and Thursdays, between the hours of 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. You may be required to attend a few Saturday classes between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. depending upon your year/group class schedule.
When do classes begin? Classes begin in September of each year and usually end in June of the following year like the public school system.
